The coin depicts Calpe House in London, which is used as accommodation for Gibraltarian patients sent to London for medical treatment. The original Calpe House was opened in 1991 and served thousands of patients until the new larger Calpe House was opened in 2018 - an event celebrated with this coin. Released into circulation in Gibraltar this 50p is not legal tender in the UK, so is very unlikely to ever turn up in your change!
