Released in 2007 the coin was issued to celebrate 100 years of Scouting and features the Scout Motto, Be Prepared. With a mintage of 7,710,750 the coin is in relatively plentiful supply, but is a particularly popular design given its significance to the many UK members and ex-members of the Scouting movement.
